Emily Paragamian is an Associate at The Asia Group focused on the political and economic affairs of South Asia. Emily provides research and analytical support across a variety of sectors, including health and pharmaceuticals, information and communications technologies, and manufacturing.
Prior to joining The Asia Group, Emily worked at the Georgetown University India Initiative, where she supported the university’s international research efforts and launched more than 80 events and programs with U.S. and Indian stakeholders from government, the private sector, and academia. She also worked at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, a DC-based law firm, where she monitored and analyzed U.S. legislative developments on foreign investment and trade. Previously, she worked as a legal assistant at the Public International Law and Policy Group, where she focused on negotiation support and transitional justice mechanisms with a focus on the Middle East.
Emily holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service and is proficient in Arabic.
