Nicole Stroner is an Analyst at The Asia Group focusing on the political and economic affairs of China and Southeast Asia. Nicole provides research and analytical support across a variety of sectors, including health and human services, consumer electronics, and pharmaceuticals.
Prior to joining The Asia Group, Nicole worked at the U.S. Trade Representative’s Office of China Affairs, where she provided research, writing, and translation assistance for major U.S.-China trade negotiations. Nicole also brings experience working with Congress from her time at the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission and the Office of Congressman Trent Franks. Previously, Nicole assisted the South Asia and China teams at the American Foreign Policy Council.
Nicole graduated with her Master’s degree in International Public Management from the Paris Institute of Political Science (Sciences-Po). She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude from the University of Richmond. Nicole studied abroad at both Peking University in Beijing and National Chengchi University in Taipei, and has traveled extensively throughout China and Europe. Nicole is fluent in French and speaks proficient Mandarin Chinese.
