Trevor Clark

Senior Associate

Trevor Clark is a Senior Associate at The Asia Group and brings more than eight years of experience in China and Washington, D.C., in both government and private sector roles, to support clients across the Asia-Pacific region. While at The Asia Group, Trevor has worked with a range of clients—from some of the world’s leading corporations and financial services firms to start-ups—in developing their nuanced China strategies, providing analytical assessments of the political and regulatory landscape, and supporting their Asia-Pacific government relations teams.

Prior to joining The Asia Group, Trevor served in several roles throughout Greater China, most recently serving as the Senior Manager for Government Relations at the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (AmCham Shanghai). In this role, Trevor was responsible for developing and managing the Government Relations Department’s strategic communications and policy advocacy. This included supporting and driving the Chamber’s engagement with both the U.S. and Chinese governments and coordinating AmCham Shanghai’s policy research and analysis. He also spent time in Hong Kong with the Asian Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA), supporting global financial institutions’ business operations and government relations in the broader Asia Pacific Region.

Before his time in Asia, Trevor spent three years as an aide on Capitol Hill focused on a wide array of topics including foreign policy, defense, homeland security, telecommunications, and agriculture among others. Trevor also spent time in the Executive Branch working with the State Department’s Office of Maritime Southeast Asia where he provided political and economic research and analysis.

Trevor earned an Master of Arts in International Economics and International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Relations and Policy from Michigan State University and is a Michigan native. Trevor is proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
